Ape3

Ape3 uses an entirely new set of characters designed to allow continuous character entry.

Each of the letters starts and ends in the Center section. This allows the end of one letter to signal the start of the next letter.

In all cases, the exact drawing of the letter is not important, only the sequence of pad sections used.

I have divided the characters a-z into several groups.

The simple letters - TILE
All start in the Center region, pass thru one outer region, then end back in the Center region.

The clockwise letters - NRSV
All start in the Center region, pass thru two outer regions, then end back in the Center region.

The counter clockwise letters - ACOU
All start in the Center region, pass thru two outer regions, then end back in the Center region.

The tall letters - FHJK
All start in the Center region, pass thru three outer regions, then end back in the Center region.
Note that H is a tall N.

The wide letters - MWY
All start in the Center region, pass thru three outer regions, then end back in the Center region.
Note the M is a wide N, W is a wide U.

The complex letters - BDGP
All start in the Center region, pass thru all four outer regions, then end back in the Center region.
Note that each is designed for similarity to the printed characters.

That leaves the three odd characters - QXZ
All start in the Center region, pass thru two outer regions, then double back to the Center region.

The number and punctuation characters are the same as for Ape2.
Note that none of them both start and end in the Center region.
