GenGo is an Avigo application for genealogic research. This tool gives you the possibility
to keep track of persons data and to link persons as relatives.
The main functionality of GenGo version 1.0 is:
- keep a database of persons and the data belonging to the persons
- link persons as family (like father, mother, spouse)
- easy navigate trough the family tree
- easy selecting persons from a list
- having several families in different tables

Version 1.1:
- More stable in handling data tables
- Fixed bug in exporting data to PC (losing last characters of strings)
- Fixed bug in app preferences when data table content has changed since last use of GenGo
- Fixed bug regarding importing empty notes
- Records are not deleted but are made private and reused. Avigo OS gives me trouble when
  optimizing memory after deleting records
- Much, much, MUCH(!) faster navigating
- Searching functionality trough the database
- Progress bar for actions on the database that could take some time
- Maximum number of records is set to 1024 (recommended is max. 500)
- Genger check when selecting father or mother
- Improved pick list (first/last buttons, faster scrolling)

GenGo version 1.1 uses the data tables of Avigo, not the table corresponding to the
application. This makes it possible to create more tables, keeping more families on your
Avigo.

The idea is to add more functionality in the future to GenGo. I'll only do this when people
ask me to, because I have to be realistic. If nobody uses the application it would be a
waste of time. Future features could be:
- Diagram's (Ancestor's, Family tree's, Ahnentafel, etc.)
- Export diagram's to sketches or memo's

Have fun, the tool is FreeWare
Use GenGo for your own risk. Backup your Avigo first.

Special thanks to:
Gerard Vermeulen for his FreeWare SDK.
Bill Baxter for his source code samples.
Randy Gill for his AVGUI library.
Kai NothDurft for fixing the text picker and other AVGUI things.
Many other developers for tips & tricks.

Have fun with your family tree research!
