I'm not a programmer. I thought that this might be a way to give something to the Avigo community. I hope that this data file helps in your productivity.

Legal Stuff

I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your Avigo should you install this file. Back your system up Now! The data provided may not be accurate, after all, Web Sites and telephone numbers change. If the information provided in the database is inaccurate, edit the Data.

Description

This is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet it is designed to hold airline information such as toll free numbers, frequent flyer reservation numbers, frequent flyer account numbers, accrued mileage, coupon availability, coupon expiration date, Airline Wed site, and some notes. It can be edited and exported from your PC to your Avigo in a few minutes and be able to tell you valuable info about your Frequent Flyer Programs.

Installation

These install instuctions assume that you are familiar with the Avigo Manager and Data functions of the Avigo. If not do some reading in the Avigo manual first to familiarize yourself.

1. Unzip the file in a suitable directory on your hard drive or a floppy.

2, start the Avigo manager.

3, From the "File" pulldown menu choose "Export Data Table". A window will pop up and ask for a file name. Choose "Browse" and go to the drive and directory that has the Freqfly.xls, or type in the drive and directory containing the freqfly.xls file. Then click "Next".

4, Give the data table a name. I use "Frequent Flyer". Do not click "Read only". Click next.

5, Put a check in "First row contains column headings". Click Next.

6, Click on the "coupons" column and choose check box as it's "Data_Type". Then Click on the "Coupon Expires" column, and choose "date" as its Data_Type. Click next.

7, Put a check in the box that says "store numbers as text?" Click Finish.

That's it you've installed your Airline Database.

The fields are pretty easy to understand with the exception of the "coupons" field. This is a checkbox so that you can tell at a glance whether or not you have a coupon for the airline you are calling, This is good when you want to use those coupons up.

Feel free to edit this thing to your hearts content.
