3D Pong
version 0.01 Beta
By Sam Rauch

This is an initial version of a 3D Pong game for the Avigo - the ultimate version
is intended to have a computer opponent as well as items in the middle of the
playing area that will be worth points and possibly allow you to "Power Up" in
different ways.

NOTE: The potentially confusing gray balls are supposed to be shadows of the
actual ball on the bottom and left walls of the playing area - I still have
to figure out how to make them look perspectively correct while keeping up
a reasonable frame rate on the Avigo :)

At this point, I am very interested
in hearing people's thoughts about the controls for the game. I have included 3
stylus control styles and 2 keyboard control styles. If you play the game and have
any thoughts/comments/preferences/suggested alternates about the controls please
send me e-mail at srauch@umich.edu

Control Description:

Keyboard 1:
Page Up/Down moves paddle up and down
Schedule/Memo moves paddle back and forth
(combinations of keys are allowed and can move paddle diagonally)
Keyboard 2:
	Address/Schedule/To Do/Memo move paddle diagonally
(combinations of keys are allowed and can move paddle horizontally & vertically)
Stylus 1:
Paddle will move in an almost direct line towards stylus position
Stylus 2:
Paddle will "jump" to the location of the stylus
Stylus 3:
Paddle will move diagonally until it is vertically or horizontally aligned with
and will then move directly towards stylus

My thoughts:
Stylus 2 makes the game too easy
Stylus 3 doesn't seem to be the most natural
Stylus 1 is my preferred stylus method because it is fairly natural and doesn't
		make the game too easy
All stylus methods are not my favorite because you obstruct the screen while you
play and you have a potential for screen scratching with lots of stylus use.
Keyboard 2 is perhaps the most natural WITH RESPECT TO the button layout, but
		seems more difficult to control
Keyboard 1 is probably the most natural WITH RESPECT TO usual game controls, but
is a little awkward due to the button layout

Overall, I think my preference is Keyboard 1, but would be interested to hear
		your thoughts.
