.TH Command CONTRACT
.SY "contract <ITEM> <SECTS>"
The contract command allows you to sell items in a particular
sector directly to the outside world (via The Deity, country 0).
.s3
For instance, to sell the shells built in a
shell industry located at -3,3 type:
.EX contract s -3,3
and the program will reply with something like:
.NF
The Deity offers $3.15 per unit of shells in -3,3 Do you accept?
.FI
At which point you can take it or leave it (answer "yes" or "no").
If you already have a contract for the given sector a "yes" answer
will reset the sale price to the current offer
(the prices offered vary slightly with time)
and a "no" answer will end the contract.
.s3
The list of commodities that can be contracted includes:
shells, guns, planes, iron, dust (gold), bars of gold, oil,
light construction materials, heavy construction materials,
civilians (slavery!), military (slavery?), and food.
Only the initial letter is required to identify these commodities.
.s3
The presence of a contracted sale in a sector is indicated by a dollar sign,
("$") in the census or commodity report.
The actual exchange of goods and money takes place as the sector is
being updated (as a result of the update command or as done periodically
by the program). At the time of the contract sale only 1/2 the available goods
will be sold (especially convenient with food).
