          INTRODUCTION

EasyMenu is a DOS menu program. It lets you record the STARTING
COMMAND SEQUENCE for any program, just like you would type at the
DOS prompt. You can run a program by a keystroke or clicking
          with a mouse.

EasyMenu saves time and keystrokes when you run your computer
programs. Also, it lets you create online HELP files for any
menu, so you can view notes and reminders, prior to running a
          program.

EasyMenu can tell you about your computer hardware, such as the
amount of memory, number of access ports for printers and modems,
the version of DOS you are using and other useful information.
EasyMenu can run up to 9 programs per menu and you can use batch
          files.

          UNIQUE FEATURES

EasyMenu gives you features the others left out. Such as printer
reset BEFORE and AFTER running a program, turning off the Shift-
PrtSc function and more. See the FEATURES section.

          TRAINING NOTES

          1. Read all help files completely. They contain information NOT
          duplicated in this manual.

          2. How to run your programs from a menu:

              a. Note what you normally do to start a program
              b. Record a list of the commands in a MENU.

              Example:
              TITLE >RUN LOTUS SPREADSHEET
              MENU/C>CD \LOTUS You change sub-directory
C>123 You type the start command

          3. Please locate the following keys on your keyboard, so that
you will know them for the Exercises which follow.

              ESC TAB SPACEBAR RETURN DEL

          4. Do EXERCISES #1 to #9. This can take up to one-half an hour
but is worth the time spent. EXERCISES #10 on up are optional,
as they may or may not apply to your system or wants.

          5. Please look at the bottom line of your screen. This
Menu/Status line will change while you use EasyMenu.

          TO START THE PROGRAM:

Type at the DOS prompt C>CD \EASYMENU (changes directory)
                                     C>EASYMENU (starts EasyMenu)

If you add these 2 lines to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, your computer
will start EasyMenu automatically when you turn on the power.

          KEYBOARD UTILITIES

These short programs allow you to control the keyboard from a
menu or batch file. Keyboards with LED lights on the CapsLock
and NumLock keys sometimes get out of sync with the true status.

          NUMLOCK

               NUMON.COM and NUMOFF.COM
               - "flips" the NumLck key on or off.

          CAPSLOCK

               CAPSON.COM and CAPSOFF.COM
               - "flips" the CapsLock key on or off.

          SHIFT-PRTSC

               PRTSCOFF.COM and PRTSCON.COM
               - disable/enable the Shift-PrtSc function.

          CTRL-ALT-DEL

               NOBOOT.COM and YESBOOT.COM
               - disable/enable CTRL-ALT-DEL reboot.

Run NOBOOT from AUTOEXEC.BAT, or anytime BEFORE loading SideKick
or other memory-resident software which uses the CTRL-ALT hot
keys. Use YESBOOT to restore the CTRL-ALT-DEL function.

You may still use the EASYMENU REBOOT function, from any menu,
          even if NOBOOT is loaded.
