The following is a condensed version of a product support note
which was mailed to Symphony users who experienced difficulty
using Symphony on an IBM PC with two monitors (selection number 5
in the Symphony Install Program, requiring a monochrome monitor,
a monochrome card, a graphics monitor, and a color or graphics
 card).

In order for Symphony's drivers to access this configuration, the
monochrome monitor must be set as the default monitor. While this
is usually the case, there are exceptions in some PC
configurations. The solution to the problem lies in the
modification of the Autoexec Batch File on your Symphony program
 disk.

 BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

  * Place the Symphony Program disk in Drive A:

  * Copy MODE.COM from your DOS disk onto the Symphony Program
    disk

  * Be sure that you have an A> prompt on your monitor

 THE NEW AUTOEXEC BATCH FILE

 Type the following:

      copy con: autoexec.bat [RETURN]
      date [RETURN]
      time [RETURN]
      mode CO80 (or) BW80 [RETURN]
      mode mono [RETURN]
      access [RETURN]
      F6 (CTRL-Z) [RETURN]

 NOTES

   * If you have a separate clock installed in your computer,
substitute the appropriate command(s) in place of the date and
time commands in lines 2 and 3 of the above.

   * Instruction number four addresses the second monitor. MODE
CO80 refers to a color monitor, and MODE BW80 addresses a
black and white monitor. Select the choice which matches your
     SECOND monitor configuration.
