                    General Symphony Information 


  +  Symphony is a multi-dimensional business tool for managers and
     professionals.  It combines word processing, spreadsheet,
     database, communications, graphics, and more into one complete
     system. 
  +  Introductory price is $695. 
  +  1-2-3 owners of the IBM PC version may exchange their software
     for the IBM PC version of Symphony.  To do so, owners should
     obtain an Exchange Kit from any Authorized Lotus Dealer.  The
     Exchange Kit costs $200. 
  +  Symphony requires a minimum of 320K RAM, as well as MS DOS 2.0
     or 2.1.  A minimum of two double-sided floppy drives or one
     double-sided floppy drive and one hard disk is required.

 ACT 

  + Apricot (Symphony Port) 
     +  Symphony for the Apricot will be available in the fourth
        quarter of 1984. 
     +  This will be the first Symphony port to be produced by
        Lotus Development UK, Ltd. 
     +  Recommended minimum memory for Symphony on the Apricot will
        be 512K. 
     +  Will support the Apricot monochrome monitor or the
        monochrome and color monitors in dual mode. 
     +  Will run on either twin 3 1/2-inch Apricot Xi microdisk
        drives or a hard disk and a single Apricot Xi microdisk
        drive. 
     +  Will support the ACT Integral Modem. 

 COMPAQ  

  + Compaq Portable and Compaq Plus (Symphony Port) 
     +  DOS 2.0 or 2.1. 
     +  Minimum of 320K memory required to run Symphony. 

  + IBM Personal Computer, XT, and Portable (Symphony Port) 
     +  Requires DOS 2.0 or 2.1 and a minimum memory of 320K.  
     +  For a list of supported Symphony peripherals, see Pages
        13-14. 
   
 + IBM Personal Computer, XT, and Portable (International Symphony
 Port) 
     +  The completely translated French, German, and Italian
        Symphony versions will be available in the first quarter of
        1985. 
     +  Both the software and the documentation will be fully
        translated into French, German, and Italian.  Symphony
        users will then have the choice of purchasing a French,
        English, German, or Italian version of Symphony. 
     +  The recommended minimum memory for a foreign language
        version of Symphony will be 384K. 
     +  Interim releases of Symphony in French and German will be
        available in the third quarter of 1984.  These will contain
        everything found in the English product and will also
        include two extra diskettes--a translated Symphony System
        Disk and a translated Help Disk.  The French and German
        versions will also contain specific instructions for using
        the interim products
