                                         AXE

                              ASIC Estimator by XILINX

                                     Version 1.0
                                       4-15-95

     System Requirements:
         1. IBM-compatible PC with a 286 or higher processor.
         2. VGA (or higher) monitor.
         3. A minimum of 400K of free base memory.
         4. 500K free EMS or XMS memory.
         5. An installed memory manger, such as QEMM or EMM386.
         6. Approximately 2.5M of hard disk space. AXE cannot be run from a
             floppy disk.

     Options:
AXE can be used without a mouse, although a mouse will make the program
much easier to use. If a mouse is used, a mouse driver MUST be
installed. If you run strictly from Microsoft Windows, a mouse driver
must be installed prior to running Windows.

     Printers:
AXE contains a list of over 140 printers covering over 300 models. A
printer must be selected prior to printing. This is accomplished by
clicking on "Select Printer" from the "Printer" top menu item.

If you have difficulty printing, run the included program,
"BDTEST.EXE". It allows you to select any of the available printers
         and print a test pattern.
