Our Plug and Play-ISA library, and the means in which to order documentation,
is constantly expanding. Refer to this page whenever you need the latest
status on Xilinx PnP literature.

Ordering the PnP Packet
The easiest and most complete way to obtain a hard copy of all the
Xilinx Plug and Play documents is to order our PnP Packet, since not all
documentation is available in electronic form. The packet also
includes the design files of our free reference designs on diskette. To
order a copy, send E-mail to literature@xilinx.com
and specifically request the Plug-and-Play Packet. Include your name, company
name, and postal address. One will be mailed to you via regular postal
mail. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery, possibly more for international
locations.
Document Descriptions
X-Note 6A: Plug and Play
The Plug and Play ISA specification is not always clear on what is
required to actually implement a logical design for a PnP interface. This
X-Note, in conjunction the application note, helps clarify some of the
ambiguities of the specification and allows you to better understand what
will be required for your application. Included is a PnP register listing
as well as the ISA bus pinout.
Application Note: An FPGA Based ISA Plug and Play Design
This design fully supports Plug and Play ISA revision 1.0A. The design
consists of five modules that the user connects together like standard
library elements. Not all modules are necessary for every application,
hence their separate implementation. The user may choose only the modules
required for the given application. The user is also provided with a complete
datasheet, and all the schematics and simulation files necessary to modify
any or all of the modules.
Plug and Play Packet
The PnP Packet contains a hard copy of all of the Xilinx PnP literature
plus a diskette of the design files of our free PnP reference designs.
