LogiCore(tm) PCI Interface Drop-In Module

Xilinx LogiCore(tm) PCI Interface is a compliant 32-bit initiator (pre-release) and target (fully released) interface optimized and verified for the XC4000E family. It is a pre-defined drop-in module that enables you to design highly integrated, high performance, PCI compliant systems with Xilinx FPGAs. Because the implementation is already defined, you can focus your time and resources on your unique back-end functions and save several man-months in your development cycle. A PCI Target interface implemented in a Xilinx XC3100A-2 FPGA device. VIEWlogic schematics and Verilog source code are available. The Verilog source has been optimized for use with Exemplar Logic's CORE logic synthesis software.

This Application Note demonstrates how to use the new RAM modes in the XC4000E logic block. A PCI Write FIFO is implemented in several different ways, using various combinations of asynchronous and synchronous, level-sensitive and edge-triggered, single-port and dual-port RAM.

Aptix Corporation

The Aptix PCI solution includes a high-speed I/O Interface card for the AXB-MP3-S FPCB (with interleaved grounds and lands for surface-mounted, impedance-matching RC's) and a PCI Slot Adapter card. A Xilinx XC4000E FPGA can be mounted in the I/O FPGA socket of the MP3 and configured for a PCI Target or Initiator. Digital Research Center
The PCI Pamette is a generic PCI card built around Xilinx FPGA technology augmented with memory, a flexible clock generation system and external I/Os. The board can be fully or partially reconfigured in system, providing a truly generic hardware platform.
