XC4000 FPGA Series
The XC4000 FPGA Series, the industry's most successful FPGA architecture,
offers high density, superior performance, 100%
PCI compliance, and enhanced RAM capabilities.
The new RAM capability, called Select-RAMTM, offers edge-triggered
write and dual-port operation. The series consists of thirteen members
ranging in density from 3,000 to over 62,000 logic gates. The XC4000EX
and XC4000XL families extend the family to higher densities, while the
XC4000XL family also provides high-performance 3.3V
operation. Be sure to read the Application Notes
for more information. Note that two older sub-families (XC4000A and XC4000H)
are being discontinued.

XC5200 FPGA Series
The XC5200 FPGA family's innovative process-optimized architecture
provides the industry's
lowest-cost
FPGA solution. This general-purpose FPGA family includes five devices ranging
from 3,000 to over 23,000 logic gates, in over 150 device/speed/package
combinations. The XC5200 has a high I/O to gate ratio and is available
in space-saving advanced packaging such as Thin and Very Thin Quad Flat
Pack (TQFP and VQFP) packages. See the list of XC5200-related Application
Notes for more information.

XC3000 FPGA Series
The XC3000 FPGA Series consists of the XC3000A, XC3100A, XC3000L, and XC3100L
families. All are general-purpose architectures with abundant flip-flops
and I/O pins. The six family members range in usable densities from 1,500
to 7,500 gates. The XC3000A family is best for general-purpose designs
requiring moderate performance. The XC3100A family is designed for high-performance
applications and offers up to 85 MHz system performance and 100%
PCI compliance. The XC3000L/XC3100L families are perfect for low-power,
3.3 volt applications. Note that Xilinx
is discontinuing certain low-volume packages
and slower speed grades.

PROMs
The Xilinx XC1700 Serial Configuration PROM family is designed to work
in conjunction with Xilinx SRAM-based FPGAs. Xilinx FPGAs have various
configuration options. One provides a
four-line interface to a serially-accessed PROM like an XC1700 PROM.
