Migration Paths

All configurations in the XACTstep Product Series use standards-based design to protect the user's investment as design requirements change.

For example, designers can use Xilinx Foundation Series products to learn ABEL or VHDL and produce code optimized for FPGA resources. As design needs grow, users can upgrade to the Xilinx Alliance Series and reuse their code while gaining access to powerful system-level tools.

The Xilinx Foundation and Xilinx Alliance Series use the same core implementation tools eliminating the need to re-learn the design process after an upgrade.

Migration to new product families, technologies and densities are also easy with the XACTstep Product Series. Users can choose from a wide range of families and upgrade between CPLD, Base, Standard and High Density configurations as needed.
