XACTstep Evaluation Kits

Xilinx has powerful, easy-to-use tools for designing Xilinx devices ranging from high-speed macrocell-based CPLDs to very high density, system feature-rich FPGAs. Evaluation Kits are available for PC, Sun, and HP platforms by contacting your local Xilinx sales representative or distributor. Once you receive a kit, register it online. The following is a description of the contents of the evaluation kit for both PC and Workstation users.

PC Kit

The PC kit contains the following four CD-ROMs:

XACTstep v5.2.1/6.0.1
The XACTstep CD-ROM allows you to evaluate Xilinx' six new design tools including the industry's first full-featured hierarchical floorplanner and PCI compliant XC4000E family.
XABEL-CPLD
Use the XABEL-CPLD CD-ROM to evaluate Xilinx' stand-alone text entry and implementation support for the XC7000 and XC9500 families. This solution also allows you to evaluate the functional simulation tools.
Xilinx Foundation Series
Use the Xilinx Foundation Series CD-ROM in conjunction with either or both of the above to evaluate Xilinx' Foundation Series software tools. The Foundation Series includes schematic capture, VHDL, ABEL-HDL functional and timing simulation for Xilinx CPLDs and FPGAs.
XACT-CPLD
Use the XACT-CPLD CD-ROM to evaluate Xilinx XC9500 fitter technology. This software also includes library and interface support for Viewlogic and OrCAD tools.

Workstation Kit

The Workstation kit contains the following two CD-ROMs:
