Beginning with the December '95 XACT software update (ver 5.2 for Sun and HP, ver 6.0 for PCs), almost all of Xilinx's documentation is on line in Adobe Acrobat format. This includes all Xilinx data sheets, XACT tool user guides, libraries guides, hardware reference guides, front end tool interface user guides, and much more. If you were in warrantee, you should have automatically received this update.

The information, including a free copy of Adobe Acrobat, is on the same CD as the Xilinx software. You can load the information onto your hard drive, access it on your CD ROM, or load it onto a central server location for multiple user access. And it is very easy to do text searches, print, and navigate.

Note that some of the tutorials for VIEWlogic, XBLOX, XABEL, Mentor, and OrCAD have not been included. If you would like to purchase the hard copy versions of these documents or others, such as the Libraries Guide, you may contact CDS. Most books can be purchased with a credit card for $20 to $50:
