The .zip file includes the speeds files for all XC4000E devices
except the 4025E which can be obtained from you local Xilinx FAE.
These speeds files also include -1 advanced speed grade values,
as well as -2, -3 and -4 speed grades values for the 4000E parts.

To install the speeds files, copy the *.spd files into your \XACT\data
directory.

These speeds files contain the ADVANCED values for -1 speed grade.
They have been developed from a combination of device characterization
and software simulation.
Xilinx will ship only devices marked as ES (Engineering Samples) against
these speeds files. These speeds files should be used for budgetary
timing ONLY.
Xilinx does not recommend designing system products based upon this timing
information.

When full characterization is complete, Xilinx will release PRELIMINARY
speeds files. These speeds files will reflect changes from the ADVANCE
files. Xilinx ships production devices (no "ES" mark) against PRELIMINARY
speeds files.

Following release of the PRELIMINARY speeds files, Xilinx will later certify
them as FINAL. While Xilinx may make changes to the PRELIMINARY speeds files
in this step, it is our intention to make no changes and simply certify the
speeds files as FINAL.
